People always strive to succeed in life. Some think that planning is key to success whereas others argue that other factors such as luck, hard work, and so on are as crucial as planning. Personally, I agree with the latter view.
On the one hand, good planning has significant advantages. First, it helps to clarify goals and objectives. without a plan, it can be tricky to determine what steps are necessary to achieve a desired outcome. People with a well-thought-out plan can identify their priorities, establish a timeline for completion, and allocate resources effectively. In addition, as people know precisely what to do to achieve their goals, they can save time, improve their powers of concentration, and increase productivity. Clearly, good planning has a role to play in one’s success.
Nevertheless, other significant factors should be taken into consideration. First and foremost, hard work is an essential ingredient that leads to success. This means dedicating oneself to a task and putting in the effort and time required to achieve a goal. If a person has a good plan but is not hard-working, they are unlikely to accomplish anything in life. Another key component is luck or pure serendipity. In fact, there have been many cases where ordinary people have become renowned for their accidental discoveries or become millionaires after luckily winning the lottery. Such people did not plan for their achievements and wealth. Obviously, being successful needs a variety of factors.
In conclusion, although planning is vital, there are other essential factors that people need to have to succeed in life.
