The table compares 8 countries in terms of their motor vehicles used per 1000 inhabitants in 1990 and 2000.
Overall, it is clear that the number of motor vehicles in the Bahamas dropped between 1990 and 2000. On the other hand, other nations except Cambodia witnessed an upward trend in the same type of transportation.
In 1990, 235 motor vehicles per 1000 people were used in the Bahamas, and this was far higher than the figures for Brazil (55) and Romania (68). Over the following 10 years, there was a fall of 40 motor vehicles in the Bahamas. By contrast, Brazil’s number hit a peak of 13,580 and Romania saw a considerable increase of 7,944 motor vehicles.
Between 1990 and 2000, motor vehicles were the least popular means of transportation in Cambodia with only one vehicle per 1000 inhabitants. Finally, the figures for Chile, Jordan, New Zealand, and Luxembourg, despite the small rises, remained below 750 over the ten-year period.
